The Mercedes exposition in Ibiza will benefit the economy to the tune of 20 million euro

The global Mercedes-Benz exposition will take place in Ibiza this April, and the local government of Ibiza has confirmed that it will bring 20 million euro into the economy.

Marta Díaz, member of the Board of Industry, was very positive about the publicity and attention the island will receive as a destination for tourism, business or conventions, as well as the positive impact it will have in terms of job creation. The government departments of tourism, industry and the economy were responsible for the negotiations which ensured that the automotive company selected Ibiza for their event.

Mercedes has hired the public trade fair complex and contracted the services of three hotels in Platja d’en Bossa, as well as other transport, delivery and catering services in order to cater for the 14,000 people who will visit the island for the exposition.
