Ibiza & Formentera
Ibiza
The municipality of Ibiza is the smallest yet the one with most inhabitants in the island. Due to including the island’s capital, it also counts with all the island’s most important institutions. Ibiza has inspiring museums, including the Archaeological Museum or the Museum of Contemporary Art, and important historical sites. Among them, the necropolis of Puig des Molins, the ancient irrigation systems known as 'Portals de Feixa'. Several beaches, as Talamanca, Figueretes or Platja d'en Bossa, are located nearby and offer various water sports.

Marinas
The Marina (Port) is divided into two parts: Marina Botafoc, near Talamanca, with restaurants and upscale boutiques, and the New Marina, near Ibiza, where you can embark for Formentera. Located on the road between them is the glamorous restaurant, cabaret and club Lio, The Casino of Ibiza and the legendary Pacha nightclub. Marina Ibiza is the newest port and combines elegant design with functionality accross its facilities and moorings. It also has a shopping area located at the entrance boulevard, surrounded by green areas with gardens, plants and palm trees. After a pleasant walk with spectacular views to the walled front D'Alt Vila and luxurious super yachts on both sides there is the access to the commercial area where shops, restaurants with ample terraces, lounge bars serving cocktails and the best chillout music as well as marine services are available.
Dalt Vila
"Ibiza City overlooks the sea and the Acropolis. The fortified part of Dalt Vila is integrated into the daily lives of its people, from breakfast to shopping, through to evening drinks, and is the setting of the great artistic, social and cultural events of the island. This walled city of Ibiza, traditionally called Dalt Vila, is a monument to history. Traces of many cultures that have passed through the island can be found on layer after layer, from the first settlers of the bay of Ibiza, to Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Muslims, to the Catalan conquest led by Kingdom of Aragon in the thirteenth century. Its architecture, of great beauty and simplicity, has significantly influenced the colonial buildings of the New World."
Talamanca
The picturesque bay of Talamanca is a pleasant 15 minute walk from the Marina in Ibiza Town. A long sandy beach on which to get away from the madding crowd. The water is not very deep, so it is ideal if you are go with children. There are several hotels along the bay with beautiful views of Ibiza at night and excellent restaurants on the beach. In the western part of the bay (the end closest to Ibiza) you can catch a ferry to Ibiza town, which runs regularly until midnight. Another alternative may be to walk leisurely around the boardwalk, leaving the Marina on one side and reaching the port area of the city.
